Here comes Trouble

Mary Napoli

Mary Napoli is a plank owner at Earthly Delights; she joined our staff before the walls were built and has really seen some phenominal growth in her career since she signed on. She is our resident crazy cajun. She keeps everything bright and sunny, you can't help but laugh when you are with Mary. (If you think you are tough and would like to give it a try ask her about brazilian waxing. You'll leave in stitches.)

Mary is Italian by birth, cajun by grace. And can cook a mean Pineapple upside down cake. Mary is also single and has two furry babies at home, Murphy and Jezibel. She gives the best facials in Jackson. She was trained in LA as a massage therapist, but hates feet so she decided to concentrate on Faces instead. Her favorite thing in the world is popping zits so if you are having a nasty breakout Mary is the first place to run.

Mary has an unbelieveably vast repitoire of family stories to entertain you with, complete with pictures. If you don't believe it she has references. Make your appointment with her today and let the good times roll.

Smiling Faces Abound

Kim Kelly is our new esthician who recently came on board. She is a Mississippi native who lives with her family in Brandon, MS, She is a graduate of the Mississippi Institute of Aesthetics, Nails, and Cosmetology. Kim is quick to help out in any way she can and is fast becoming a valuable member to our staff, especially when it comes to computer issues. She is also quick with a smile and always seems upbeat and in a good mood. (Which is especially refreshing). Kim claims she's taken but we think she'd entertain a compelling offer. She has a soft touch and is an expert at shaping eyebrows and waxing, along with all of her other talents. She is fast making herself invaluable. Kim is steadily trying to build up her clientele so she can be here full time, call her for an appointment today!

Beware the Desk Nazi

Summer has begun and with it we have new beginnings at Earthly Delights. Some of these new beginnings are new

staff members. Gwen McLellan is the new business manager/front desk receptionist/alternative therapist. She has already earned a nickname for herself, the girls fondly refer to her as the "desk nazi" due to her diligent patrol of the reception/customer service area. She is a stickler for organization and pampering the clients.

Gwen is a single gal, native to the Jackson area but has traveled and lived all over the United States, she loved the southwest. She is an incredibly talented intuitive. Come by today for one of her Aura Readings. She'll read your mail and give it to you straight. She also is awsome with use of the stones. Her crystal therapy sessions are out of this world. Really.

Gwen is a great shoulder to cry on, arm to lean on, and ear to listen. She keeps the staff happy and running smoothly but we'll share a little of her if you ask nicely. Call for your appointment with her today, but ask nicely.

High Planes Drifiting

One of the greatest things about having my own spa is being able to be creative with the menu. We have a little bit different niche. With no hair and nails we can cultivate more male clientele with our streamlined offerings. The lobby is a little fru fru but at least they are not walking into a lingerie store. So when my estethician came to me and said she had always wanted to do a facial that ended with an old fashioned shave. I was thrilled. Its something unique in the marketplace. And as Rett Evans of Bankwalker Advertising company and I were kicking it around we got a little silly with it because I really wanted to get away from the metro sexual thing and just make it a guy thing. And we were talking about manly men we love and Clint Eastwood came up, because he is the ultimate manly man. And Rett was saying that in High Planes Drifter Clint comes into town and gets cleaned up at the barber shop with the old fashioned straight blade razor and lots of hot towels. So we knew we were on to something and Rett really ran with the ball. He got a Clint Eastwood impersonator to voice our radio commercials and I think they are just awesome. Meanwhile Mary Napoli and I had great fun picking out her razor on the internet, its a beautiful german blade with a mother of pearl handle. I think we are going to do a dedication ceremony with it like a Samauri recieves his blade. Too much fun. March is already shaping up to be a great month.

Up and Running

Well inspite of a few bugs the first few weeks (you know, bugs, like no heat when it was sleeting outside and no hot water for my first scrub, and the inevitable operator errors in the computer scheduling program, BUGS, okay?) Things have dramatically smoothed out here at Earthly Delights. We are starting the get the groove of it and its all good.

Working out the bugs

Well he had our grand ribbon cutting here at Earthly Delights Day Spa. It was a big hit! I think everyone was really impressed with how beautifully everything turned out. I have some architecturaly salvaged pieces from a home in Vicksburg that was build in 1848. They really give the spa a nice flair. Its not the usual modern chrome stuff you are used to seeing in salons. They really set us apart. The spa is painted to match the logo. The lobby is golden the treatment rooms are blue and the door frames are a nice creamy coffee color. Its all so beautiful. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get them loaded on the computer but you can check out all our services at www.earthlydelightsdayspa.com.
